Basically I teach English, but also engineer games for a living. I've had no luck so far finding friends (japanese or foreigners) in the same field although I've been in Fukuoka for about 5 years.I've skill in a few fields of game creation, including 3d cgi animation with motion capture, graphics/game engine coding in a few languages, and art-intensive Photoshop work. I've been coding for over 20 years.

Are you an animator, programmer, game design artist or have any related skills?

I'm very curious about Japanese game design and making friends who are affectionados not just on playing games but the also the technical design behind them. Although I'm rather old to be a gamer (32 hehe) I still play Tekken, Metal Gear, Oblivion etc, so maybe we can still connect even if you're not actually into the design aspect of games.
I could educated you about the history of Western style video game design and *perhaps* I can teach you how to code internet games in Flash AS2/AS3 if we become friends. 日本語でもいいですよ
