Main Dining "from our kitchen" Hakata Area

Just a few minutes' walk south of Hakata Station, "With The Style Fukuoka" is an architecturally stunning resort-themed boutique hotel whose centerpiece is a beautiful reflecting pool. On one side, a row of open-air cabanas offers semi-outdoor privacy for small groups. A lounge and bar face another side and the hotel's main dining room lines the third side of the pool. In fine weather guests can enjoy a relaxing fresh breeze, and every seating area has a lush view of pool and plants. It's very, very easy to forget you're actually in the center of large city. The main dining room with its spaciously distributed tables is attended by staff in smart white uniforms.

Open for lunch and dinner, "from our kitchen" recently started two new dinner courses. "Pasta! Pasta! Pasta!" (¥4,500) is, as you might expect, all about pasta! Five of the seven dishes are made with some kind of pasta, most of which are made freshly on the premises. Five plates of pasta might sound like too much, but not when they are made with such skill and creative combinations of seasonal vegetables, fish and selected meats. Our course began with a chilled capellini, then a lasagna, then a tagliolini, next a ravioli, and finally a dish of gnocchi. Pasta lovers - rejoice! The other new course, and one that will certainly appeal to the non-carnivore is the "Vegetable Collection" (¥3,500) featuring five vegetable-centric dishes plus one main fish dish. For fine dining with unbeatable open-air atmosphere, look no further.
