The Craic & Porter Beer Bar Tenjin Area
Popular with foreign visa-runners visiting from all over Asia looking for a taste of home, Craic & Porter might be packed out with old-hands one night and fresh faces the next. Either way you can probably still get a seat at a table or the bar, and New York Irish owner Mike will always have time to share the titular craic. Mike takes pride in the Porter part, too, and behind the heavily-stocked bar will be at least one special import beer, different every week, a British ale, an American microbrew, and naturally Guiness (all ¥900/pint). And that's not even mentioning the 45 Irish Whiskeys, many imported by Mike himself. You'll find yourself spending less on quality imported beers than you would for local brands at other bars, and all with an informal manner and a warm tribute to Irish culture.
