Fukuoka & Kyushu Local Food Sampling Party

On the evening of Thu., Dec. 6 a special food tasting event will be held in central Tenjin. The opinions of non-Japanese are sought. The dishes will be prepared by a well-known cooking school master and all the dishes will include local Fukuoka ingredients. The results of this test will help refine recipes to be used in the promotion of foods to be exported from Fukuoka to overseas.

Some of the dishes will include: Ginger & Black Pepper Ice cream, Steak, Ago-dashi Buffalo Wings, Green Sea Food Butter Noodle, Rice Paper Wraps with Mentaiko, Sushi Rolls with Mentaiko, Konjac Sushi, Miso Pizza, Norikuro Dip, Takana Ajillo. Etc.. After tasting these dishes, participants will be asked to fill out a survey and include comments.

Persons interested in participating should: be over 20 years of age, any nationality except Japanese, male or female, have resided in Japan for at least one year, and have an above average interest in food and possibly cooking too. Twenty persons are needed. This event is free and participants will receive ¥1,000 to cover transportation.
