Tomorrow, April 1, Kyushu’s connection to Europe strengthens with the commencement of KLM’s additional Tuesday nonstop flight to Amsterdam, and with the start of a European Food Fair at Hilton Seahawk Fukuoka. The increase from three to four flights per week is very encouraging news indeed. Since KLM flights began last April approximately 70,000 people from 35 nations have taken the 11 hour flight between Fukuoka and Amsterdam. Thinking about traveling to Europe? It’s never been so convenient. But if you can’t go just now, you can enjoy a taste of Europe inside Brasserie & Lounge Seala at the Hilton until May 6. See our snapshots from the “European Food Fair” pre-open event. These are just some of the many dishes: French quiche & chicken confit, Italian seafood lasagna & pasta, British fish & chips and more from Netherlands, Spain and other European countries. The Hilton’s new Executive Chef, Gerald Vaux who’s worked at Michelin awarded restaurant in France, and all over the world, is there to welcome you.
