The Brilliant Baker

Born in Austria, Sailer is a fourth generation baker who first came to Fukuoka 22 years ago. He spent his first ten years working in Japanese bakeries until 1994 when he opened his own shop in Nagaoka. There, in addition to a mouth-watering array of European cakes and pastries, he bakes Fukuoka's most authentic Austrian breads including kaiser, pretzel, and rye. Sailer is a soccer fanatic, and an official Avispa Fukuoka sponsor.
