What is Miss Earth?
Miss Earth is one of the most famous and prestigious pageants in the world. The contests is one of the big four major beauty contests for women along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss World. Miss Earth now has participants from 90 countries and regions around the world, which is even more than the 80 that compete in Miss Universe contest. In a relatively short space of time Miss Earth has grown into a global celebration of beauty!
What is Miss Earth Japan?
Japan has participated in Miss Earth since the very first contest in 2001, with many participants recording fantastic results that have lasted long in the memory. Entrants from Japan have ranked in the top 16, won the National Costume Award, and been awarded the title of Miss Friendship. Given the attention the entertainment industry gives the Miss Earth contest, it has been no surprise to see that a number of the participants have gone on to work as models and announcers.
Miss Earth Titles
The overall winner of the contest is crowned Miss Earth. The runners-up are also given titles inspired by the elements, Miss Air, Miss Water, Miss Fire. Representatives who participate in the contest help volunteer in events that raise awareness about environmental issues as public figures after returning to their respective countries and regions.
Miss Earth Roles
Miss Earth participates in various voluntary activities throughout the year. The organizers work with regional competitors to support the local environment by participating in activities such as beach clean-ups and tree planting events. The aim is to raise awareness about the environment in order protect the beauty of the natural world.
Miss Earth Japan Fukuoka will receive lectures from experts in a range of different fields to prepare for her role in the international stage. The lectures will cover beauty pageant-related topics, including how to walk, methods of self-expression, makeup, food, and body mechanics. Other lectures include the history of Fukuoka, the environment, and social problems.
The 2018 Miss Earth Japan Fukuoka Contest is asking for entries from Japanese women who have an awareness of global environmental issues and can shine on an international stage.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
• Residents in Japan and Japanese nationals
• Women aged between 19 and 26 as of December 31, 2018
*Applications will be accepted if the participant is over the age of 18 as of April 1 2018
• Able to participate using your real/legal name
• Single
• Able to participate in the auditions held in Fukuoka City at their own expense

Postal Applications
Please enclose a resume that includes the participant’s name, address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth in a stamped envelope. State your height, weight, bust, waist, and hip measurements, along with a personal summary, and your thoughts about the Miss Earth activities into empty spaces in the form. Also include one full-body photograph and one face shot. *Selfies are permitted, but photographs taken with filters and applications, such as Snow, will not be accepted.

◆ミス・アースとは
【ミス・ユニバース】【ミス・インターナショナル】【ミス・ワールド】などと並び、世界４大ミスコンの一つと言われている【ミス・アース】コンテストを通して、環境保護への意識向上を訴えたることが目的のミス・アースは、様々な国々へ広がりを見せており、ミス・ユニバースの80カ国より多い90カ国が参加。世界規模の美の祭典へと成長を遂げています。
◆ミス・アース・ジャパンとは
日本では、2001年に開催された第1回から参加しており、ミス・フレンドシップ受賞・ナショナルコスチューム優勝・総合TOP16入りなど、輝かしい成績を残しております。
ここまで出場した女性たちの多くが、モデルやアナウンサーとしても第一線で活躍しており、芸能業界からの注目度の高さもミス・アースの特徴の一つです。
◆ミス・アースのタイトル
世界大会の順位には、優勝のミス・アースのほかに、第2位のミス・エア（空）第3位のミス・ウォーター（水）第4位のミス・ファイヤー（火）があり、地球が持つ空気と水と火のエネルギーの大切さを訴えたものとなっています。世界大会に出場した代表者たちはそれぞれの国に戻り、自然環境のボランティアや、イベントなどに出演し、オピニオンリーダーとして環境保護の大切さを啓蒙しています。
◆ミス・アースの活動
ミス・アースは、年間を通して様々なボランティア活動に参加します。
ビーチクリーン活動や植樹活動など、地域の参加者とともに、美しい地球を守るため、その活動を通して自然環境保護の啓蒙活動を行っています。
ミス・アース・ジャパン福岡では、国際舞台へと羽ばたいていけるよう ウォーキングや自己表現、メイク、食や身体のメカニズムなど 美に関するカリキュラムから、福岡の歴史や、環境問題、社会問題まで、各ジャンルのエキスパートによる講義まで様々なレッスンをご用意しています。

・日本国内に在住で日本国籍、
2018年12月31日時点で19歳以上26歳未満の女性の方
（2018年4月1日の時点で18歳以上であれば応募可能）
・本名で参加できる方
・出産経験のない未婚の女性
・福岡市内で行われるオーデションに自費で参加できる方
