ALT Positions in Miyazaki Prefecture

These openings are for Full-Time positions as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Kobayashi City in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Global Learning Advancement Department (GLAD) is a non-profit organization founded by a group of former Japanese teachers with a vision to support the growth of Global-minded students in Japan. We believe that foreign teachers will be the bridge between the world and the key to modernizing Foreign Language Education in Japan.

[Conditions]:
・220,000 ~ 250,000 Japanese yen per month (depending on experience,contract, and location)
・Monday to Friday. between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
・Transportation costs will be covered at a certain rate per day
・Days off include weekends, National Holidays, and other holidays set on the Board of Education’s school calendar.

[Contract start date]:
Full-Time April 2018 – March 2019

Selected candidates must be living in Japan.

[Position Requirements]:
・Must be currently residing in Japan or have immediate plans to relocate to Japan
・Must be a native speaker of English, or have acquired an education in English for at least 12 years
・Must have completed a University Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in English speaking countries
・Must have a strong interest in Japanese culture and language and be able to connect with Japanese people
・Must have conversational Japanese skill
・Must have at least one year of ALT English teaching experience at Elementary school, Junior High school, High School, or Kindergarten in Japan
・Must have a valid visa status that allows you to live and work in Japan (Sponsorship available)
・Must have a valid driver’s license and car to commute to schools every day
