Shane Part-time Position Available Soon!

Shane English School Kyushu, the Kyushu franchise of Shane English School Japan, is now inviting applications for a variety of teaching positions in its Fukuoka schools.

Initially we are seeking a part-time EFL teacher for our Nishijin location on Mondays. The position will be open very soon, with a start date of 26th February, possibly earlier.

The schedule presently being offered comprises 3.5 hrs between 5pm and 9pm. The compensation offered is ¥2,800/hr for teachers meeting the necessary requirements.

Further part-time shifts will be opening in April.

Shane offers classes that are educational and enjoyable, an organized and easy to follow curriculum for all levels(child to adult), in an environment where growth as an educator is encouraged and expected. After initial orientation and training, regular teacher development days are held throughout the year.

Most lessons are 4-skills general English classes for children or adults. It is important, however, that applicants are prepared for the possibility of teaching very young children(2 and up). Teachers should also be able to handle 1-to-1 business and exam English classes.

Positive, adaptable, creative, and friendly language teachers with a professional demeanour are welcome to apply.

Further requirements:
1) Genuine native speaker proficiency in English
2) Valid visa/permission to work
3) University degree
4) Qualification in TEFL(CELTA/Trinity Tesol or higher) or relevant experience
5) A willingness to follow the company’s dress-code
6) At least 2 years teaching experience
