Coming of Age Day in Fukuoka, Japan

Coming of Age Day (成人の日 Seijin no Hi) takes place annually on the second Monday of January to celebrate the birthdays of all those who have reached the magical age of twenty (hatachi) between Apr. 2 of the previous year and Apr. 1 of the current year. This year, the celebrations are taking place on January 8 (Sun.) & 9 (Mon.).
