Sweets and coffee lovers, are you ready for the next big trend? If you love this company’s other desserts such as “Bake Cheese Tart” (delectable tiny cheese tarts) or “Ringo” (cream filled apple pies) then you’ll probably love Zakuzaku “Croquant Chou Cream” (stick-shaped, crunchy, cream-filled pastries) too. The Tenjin Zakuzaku shop opens inside the Tenjin underground shopping mall (Tenjin Chikagai) on Wednesday, March 8. In addition to the Croquant Chou, they will also serve super-rich Zakuzaku soft ice cream topped off with crunchy sprinkles in cones or cups. What else could you want? Delicious coffee perhaps? Well thanks to a collaboration with the Shimonoseki-based Craftsman Coffee Roasters, freshly brewed specialty coffees are on offer and are an excellent match to the sweets. Fukuoka Now attended a pre-open event and tasting today. Check out our photos and drool!
