Daisuke Takahashi, Japan’s most famous male figure skater was in Fukuoka today to preside over the pre-opening event for Asahi Super Dry Extra Cold Bar, which opens to the public tomorrow (May 15, 2012) in Tenjin. The bar is a dedicated facility for beer lovers to enjoy Asahi’s special super chilled and crisp “Asahi Super Dry Extra Cold” which is served from special ice encrusted taps for glasses served between zero and -2.0 degrees celsius. As a world-famous skater, Takahashi is an expert on ice and has been made a special representative Bar Manager for the Fukuoka shop. The shop will only be open until September 17, and with a capacity of just 40, don’t wait too long to try it out! Besides beer, a pub food menu is offered. Takahashi recommends the Fukuoka local dishes with mentaiko such as the “Mentaiko No Gorogoro Potato Salad” or “Deep Fried Sasami Mentaiko Cheese”.
