Now in its 61st year, the Kurume Tsutsuji (azalea) Festival is one of the biggest plant festivals in Japan. Aside from over 2,000 azalea on show, there will also be flower, plant and bonsai markets, a model garden and bonsai exhibitions. Look forward to special taiko drum performances on weekends and holidays (canceled in case of rain). Buy Kurume food and drink too, such as bento and more!
