The Japanese word for “sake cup”, ochoko, sounds like the Japanese word for “chocolate”, choco, so this exhibition plays on the phrase “Valentine choco” – instead of giving your Valentine the typical box of chocolate, give them a heart-shaped sake cup (particularly if you love a sake-lover!). A heart-shaped ochoko at this exhibition will cost somewhere between ¥1,080 and ¥3,000. If you’re lucky, you may see one of the expert craftsmen working with the potter’s wheel.
