Galleries from across Asia send in their premier works for this art fair. At this innovative event, the works will be showcased in a set of guest rooms, better enabling visitors to envisage the work in their own homes. This year, the number of participating galleries has increased from 27 to 38, including industry-leading galleries from Taipei, Seoul and other Asian cities. The galleries aim, through this show, to spread “this hotel style art fair throughout the nation and, furthermore, to Asia and all over the world.” This is a very popular event amongst both locals and foreigners, and this year part of the proceeds will go towards relief work in Kumamoto.
