“A City in Japan: Fukuoka and Fiction” at Institut Français du Kyushu

START: May 13, 2016 END: May 28, 2016

Vincent Lefrancois, a French illustrator who has lived in Fukuoka for 25 years, has created a series of illustrations and comics mixing the reality of Fukuoka as we know it and the illustrator’s own creative style and storytelling. The Japanese text in the illustrations will be translated into French for the show, which will take place at the Institut Français Kyushu in Akasaka. Everyone is welcome at the opening event on May 13 (Fri.), which starts at 18:30. To see examples of the artist’s work, click here. Video artist Yumi Sonoda is collaborating in this exhibition.
