Craft Sake Week, created by former soccer player Nakata Hidetoshi, was first held in Tokyo last year. During the ten day event over 76,000 people showed up to take part. This year the event is being split up into two different venues, one in Roppongi, Tokyo and one here in Hakata, Fukuoka. To prepare for the event Nakata personally visited over 300 sake breweries across Japan and chose the best 60 to participate. Each day 10 different breweries out of the 60 will present their best sake so if you want to try them all you will need to show up everyday!
