Come celebrate Brazilian culture at the first ever Brazilian festival in Kyushu! You can enjoy delicious food at South American food booths, including those managed by popular ethnic restaurants in Fukuoka, such as Kaori’s Grill, Dois Lagos, and Chakra. Kaori’s Grill specializes in Peruvian food, featuring churrasco, chorizo and much more. Dois Lagos is a Brazilian restaurant which also offers churrasco, as well as linguiça, or smoked cured pork sausage seasoned with garlic and paprika. And if you’re not too fond of oily food, you can try Chakra, a Latin American curry restaurant. They will be serving a special menu created in honor of this event, featuring curry tacos with papadum and cumin tea. Besides the tasty selection of food, the event will also be hosting stage performances. Hakatatosia, an Afro-Brazilian percussion group, will present the opening act, followed by exciting parades such as the capoeira performance and samba parade. And don’t hesitate to bring your children – there’s a kids’ booth.
