Returning after last year’s huge success, Diners Club France Restaurant Week celebrates its 7th year with 17 days of fine dining at 565 French restaurants around Japan, including 28 in Fukuoka! It’s a great chance to enjoy excellent French cuisine at a variety of leading French restaurants at very reasonable prices. The theme of this year’s “Diners Club France Restaurant Week” is “Trés bon! Terroir in Japan” and participating restaurants have been challenged to use Japanese ingredients such as shiitake, konbu, and wasabi in their dishes. The organizers hope that people who might not often have the chance to enjoy authentic French fare will take advantage of this promotion. This is a great opportunity to rediscover the flavors of local ingredients as chefs use them in creative and innovative ways.
