The trio debuted at the Blow Up festival in Oslo, Norway in the summer of 2011. Since then, they have toured Norway, the USA and Australia, and they have recorded several CDs. Drawing inspiration from free jazz as defined by Coleman, Mingus, Dolphy and Coltrane, they create powerful, energetic music. Frode Gjerstad, a veteran saxophonist, has teamed up with Jon Rune Strøm, part of a “new generation of Norwegian bass players”), and Paal Nilssen-Love, one of “Norway’s most active drummers”. If you love jazz, this is a must-see.
