This might be your first and last chance to walk on the Fukuoka Airport runway! This special event will take a select few around to some normally off-limit locations, including 20 minutes on the tarmac of the airport runway. There’s an 80-person capacity; however, if applications exceed that number, a lucky draw will decide the participants. Participants will be notified by Jul. 25 (Mon.). This year, a donation box will be set up on the runway, with proceeds going towards relief efforts after the Kumamoto earthquakes. Please note: must be over elementary school age to participate. Junior high school students do not need a parent or guardian for the runway walk, but must be accompanied by one up to registration. Given the earliness of the hour, public transport will not be running (people coming by car will need to use the parking lot for the domestic terminal).

Information required for registration: 1. Names of the attendees, 2. Address of each attendee, 3. Representative’s mobile phone number (in case of an emergency), 4. State whether or not you need a parking pass to the airport’s parking lot (can use until 9:00 on the day).
