Chill amongst the wisteria at this special event. From Apr. 18, you can enjoy the rare opportunity to see wisteria in the heart of the city! What’s more, special events will run on both Apr. 23 (Sat.) and Apr. 24 (Sun.): at 14:00 you can join a free tour of Fukuoka Castle Ruins (max. 20 people per day; first come, first served). Hojicha cafe will sell hojicha (roasted green tea) and sweets (10:00~16:30). Why not take a kokedama (moss ball) making workshop at 10:00 (max. 20 people per day; first come, first served)? And you can view photos and enter your own in the photo exhibition. On Apr. 24 (Sun.), there will also be a market where you can buy sweet potato shochu and Sarubobo dolls (red, human-shaped Japanese amulets).
