Kintsugi Exhibition at ACROS Fukuoka

START: Apr 17, 2017 END: Apr 23, 2017

Kintsugi is an art form that involves repairing cracked pottery with lacquer dusted and powdered gold. Its origins can be traced back to the Muromachi era, a period in Japanese history when the tea ceremony gained popularity. 120 pieces created by around 100 members of the Kinjin Craft Association will be featured. There will also be a daily workshop held daily from 2pm to 3pm and repairs will be accepted at the venue.
