Manga Competition. The aim of the competition is described as “to disseminate the charm and potential of [manga] in order to spread manga culture throughout Japan and abroad.” – Judges incl. popular manga artists Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999) and Tochi Ueyama (Cooking Papa). To enter submit an original, 4-koma (cell) manga – both pros and amateurs can apply and the grand prize is a whopping ¥500,000. You can apply from 9/5 (Mon.) ~ 11/18 (Fri.) at 14:00 (JST): online applications only.
