Tokyu Hands’ current slogan is “Hint Market”; in Japanese, “hint” carries the idea of new beginnings and opportunities – something which they hope their store can offer. So during the Valentine’s season, when so many are hoping to kickstart or improve their love lives, Tokyu Hands is teaming up with JR Hakata City to bring Fukuoka the “Love Hint Market”. Shop for the perfect V-Day gift, or even make one at one of the many workshops on the fifth floor of Tokyu Hands – for example, you can make your own chocolate charm (1/30 ~ 1/31 at 12:00~16:00 – approx. 40 min per session) or even your own wrapping paper (2/7, 2/11, 2/13 at 13:00~18:00, 2/12 at 15:00~19:00, 2/14 at 13:00~17:00). There will also be a pop-up shrine! Koinoki Jinja Shrine in Chikugo City will be selling omikuji (paper fortunes) and ema (votive wooden plaques) – any ema purchased at this event will be put up at the real Koinoki Jinja Shrine. You’ll also find pop-up chocolate shops on the first floor of Amu Est, including Kit Kat Chocolatory and Godiva, who will be selling boxes of chocolates which come with a free charm.
