Oktoberfest returns to Fukuoka for a second year running, after attracting some 56,000 visitors over 10 days last year. More than 55 varieties of German beer will be on offer at this year’s event alongside a wide selection of food and snacks. Entry to the festival is free and there will be live performances by a German Orchestra. Eat, drink and be merry in this celebration of German culture. Now Tip: women can rent traditional German dresses known as Dirndl to celebrate in style.
NOTE: There are at least two Oktoberfest events in Fukuoka, the other one, “Fukuoka Oktoberfest 2016” takes place inside Reizen Koen from Oct. 14 ~23.
