Nagasaki celebrates its historical ties with China with 15,000 lanterns arranged in displays across the city, including lanterns in the shape of Chinese historical figures, zodiac animals and more. Visitors can write wishes on prayer card attached to Koi Lantern for fulfillment of love at the prayer place at the Koushibyo venue. After the festival, the prayer card will be dedicated to the shrine and burned(お焚き上げ) (¥1,000 with chinese Incense stick) Parades, acrobats, lion dancers, and festival food, the festival will run for two full weeks!
