One of Kyushu’s biggest fireworks displays, attended by over 450,000 every year! The 6,000 fireworks can be seen from as far as Fukuoka Tower, but, for a closer look, don a yukata or jinbei and join the crowd in Ohori Park. Festival stalls sell food and drinks. Go early or reserve a seat (small fee).
Nishinippon has released a map showing pedestrian-only zones, roads closed to cars, garbage bins, toilets and other useful information. Find it here.
