Held on Sep. 18 (Mon., hol.) of the Hojoya festival, participants and visitors alike head to the beach at Hakozaki to pray for good harvest, protection from calamities, household safety and more. They also take some sand for bringing home. This ritual is also one of the highlights of the Yamakasa Festival.
