Shiraito Falls is located in the scenic foothills of Itoshima. Considered sacred by some, this spot is busy throughout summer; the start of the season is celebrated with somen nagashi (noodle catching, all-you-can-eat) and mochi maki (rice-cake tossing). Going later in June? There’s a hydrangea festival on Jun. 26.
