To show off their local pride the SoftBank Hawks will hold a Dontaku Hakata Day in April during a match against the Rakuten Golden Eagles. Everyone in attendance will receive an original “niwaka men” (mask) to join in the celebrations. All signage in the park will be changed to Hakata-ben (dialect), and the jet balloons will be the color of mentai. The Dontaku Band will perform and the special guest of the event will be Makoto Ayukawa of “Sheena & the Rockets” fame. Special tickets come with a Hakata-ben T-Shirt as well as a special ticket that includes a nomihodai (all you can drink) pass.
