Feel the Spanish passion with Spanish music, food, language lessons, dance and entertainment! This year’s Spain Fiesta offers fun activities both during the daytime and evening! In the daytime (12:00~16:00), join a flamenco dance session as well as other fun activities for kids, families and all interested in Spain! Join the evening session (17:00~20:00) for a night full of live Latin music, including Spanish flamenco singer Rafael de Utrera. Other stage performances include, Sayaka (a violinist who has performed around the world; “Sayaka’s Cuban Project” in Fukuoka), Genki (dancer and percussionist – well-known in the salsa community in Fukuoka), Ryotaro Shibata (guitarist), Mutsumi (dancer) and Carlos (Cuban singer and world tour member of the Buena Vista Social Club). This festival has booths with various Spanish goods and accessories. Fukuokan Spain-loving eateries will be selling gourmet Spanish food and drinks (paella, tapas, sparkling wine, beer and more)! 1,500 are expected to attend this cultural exchange event.
