The origin of udon in Japan is memorialized on a monument at Jotenji Temple in Hakata. It’s said to have originated in Fukuoka after it was brought over from China in 1241. Since then Fukuokans have loved their udon and have continued to improve it and create new ways to enjoy it. This event brings together popular udon from all over Japan so you can try a variety of styles in one place. Experiment with something new or just pick your favorite, either way you win!
