Myoshin-ji Temple

Among the 124 items on display are statues of two guardian Deva Kings from Ishigaki Island, Image of Daruma by Ekaku Hakuin, Tiger and Dragon Folding Screens painted by Sanraku Kano and toys donated by Hideyoshi Toyotomi. A great chance to learn about the Myoshin-ji sect in Kyushu and to see elaborate Buddhist art of the Ryukyu Kingdom.

Ancient Egypt in Torino

Pompeii Exhibition

Voice of Cherry Blossoms

Cirque du Soleil - Corteo

16th Jyojima Sake Barrel Opening

Jyojima is famous for its abundant water and Chikugo-rice and therefore has the requisite resources for sake-making. Sample the many kinds of sake made in Jyojima, warm up with nabe hot pots and entertain yourself with taiko performances. Check out the special sake provided during the festival. 2010 Nagasaki Lantern Festival

First held in 1994, the festival is now hailed as the signature winter event of Nagasaki. About 15,000 colorful lanterns will light up the city center.
