Aeon Kyushu, which will open the Aeon Mall Omuta commercial facility in Omuta next spring, will issue on December 10 the Gurutto Waon e-money card for use at Aeon group retail outlets and other shops in the city’s central shopping district. This is will be the second specialized Waon e-money card after one for use at Japanese inns and hot springs in Yufuin, Oita Prefecture. The company hopes to have about 100 retail stores signed up to accept the card by the middle of next year.
