JR Kyushu’s Aso Boy limited express will be back in action from this July. Featuring an interior that includes parent child friendly seats, a kids play area and a cafe, this unique train has not operated in the area following the earthquakes that hit the Kumamoto and Aso regions last year. As restoration work continues on a section of the Hohi Main Line track that runs through Miyaji, a new round trip route could be in operation twice a day connecting Aso, Oita and Beppu during weekends and public holidays from July to December.
