Beenos to set up Office in Kitakyushu City

The e-commerce service Beenos will relocate some administrative departments from its head office in Tokyo to Kitakyushu City this April. Staff in charge of accounting and personnel will be charged with recruiting technicians and customer support staff in the Kyushu area. The existing employees will establish a 50-person team as quickly as possible. Kitakyushu City was chosen as a base due to the number of IT colleges and vocational schools in the local area. The city will subsidize Beenos’s rent for three years. Mayor Kenji Kitahashi hopes to see these kinds of IT companies attract young talent from outside Kitakyushu. Source: Nikkei Shimbun, 3/15/2018
