Cases of Bag Snatchings Recorded in Fukuoka

Seven cases of bag snatching were recorded in Chuo-ku, Hakata-ku, and Sawara-ku (Fukuoka City) between 8:20 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on March 25. All of the victims were women, two of whom suffered minor injuries. The total cost of the damage has been estimated at ¥90,000. The prefectural police have confirmed that the bags were stolen by an individual riding a motorcycle who approached the victims from behind and then drove off once they had snatched the valuables.
