Taxi drivers dressed as Santa Claus participated in a ceremony at Kushida Jinja on Nov. 21 to pray for traffic safety and celebrate a set of Christmas-themed taxis hitting the roads of Fukuoka. The vehicles involved in the promotion have been decorated with Christmas designs and will be seen on the road until Dec. 25. The drivers who attended the event received blessings from one of the Shrine’s priests, who spoke of the importance of praying for road safety at this time of year. Source: Asahi Shimbun, 11/21/2017
