Free Multilingual Call Center for Non-Japanese Earthquake Victims

BeBorn, a telephone interpretation and translation services company, is offering free phone interpretation for foreigners caught up in the recent earthquakes, starting Apr. 17 (Sun.). This emergency service is operating 24 hours in 10 different languages: English, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Russian. The number to call is 092-687-5137. Simply pass the phone between yourself and the Japanese-speaking person with whom you are trying to speak. No registration required. Please note: the translation fee is waived, but any phone tolls are still the responsibility of the caller. BeBorn will announce the end of this service on their website.
