Fukuoka and Auckland Conclude MOU to Support Startups

Sister cities Fukuoka and Auckland concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to support startups looking to expand their businesses abroad. This is Fukuoka’s seventh startup related MOU, and the second time that the city has reached this kind of agreement with one of its sister cities after a similar arrangement with Bordeaux. Services provided to startups in Fukuoka City include consultation sessions, information about local markets, and online seminars. A business matching site has also been established to introduce its users to various financial institutions, employers’ organizations, and universities.
