On May 22, Fukuoka City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on startup support and industrial development with Bordeaux Metropol, the city center of Bordeaux. The city of Bordeaux has contributed to the development of aerospace industry as well as with the boom of drone business. Companies in Fukuoka City will be able to use the vast facilities in the area to experiment with drones. Fukuoka and Bordeaux have been sister cities since 1982. Source: Sankei, 5/23/2017
