Fukuoka City to Subsidize Storage Batteries for Homes and EV Cars

Fukuoka City is currently offering subsidies for several green alternatives to fossil fuel. In an effort to fight global warming, the city financially supports purchases of lithium storage batteries up to ¥400,000, and up to ¥10,000 for electric cars. There are also subsidies for plug-in hybrid vehicles, home energy management systems and energy farms. To be eligible for these subsidies, your home address has to be registered in Fukuoka city for at least one year. For electric vehicles, you can only apply for cars bought after April 2018. The deadlines for the applications are in 2019, however, the applications will close if the budget is reached before that. For details and more information on applications, check out this link or call 092(713)0477 for storage batteries and other home equipment. For vehicles, please refer to this link or call (092) 711-4282.
