Fukuoka Hotel Group Publishes Disaster Prevention Guidebook

Nishitetsu City Hotel and NTT TownPage Corporation have collaborated to create a disaster prevention guidebook (the first collaboration of a hotel company and the NTT TownPage Corporation in Japan). The guidebook will be distributed to foreign guests staying at the Nishitetsu Grand Hotel and Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel (both run by Nishitetsu City Hotel) from Jun. 24 (Fri.) to Jun. 28 (Tue.) (to coincide with the 99th Lions Clubs Annual International Convention). The guide provides advice in the event of an emergency when both inside and outside the hotel. It includes a map of evacuation assembly points and payphones around the hotels (in Tenjin and Hakata), as well as as a map of emergency exits at the hotels themselves. The disaster prevention guide is inside a 32-page general guidebook, 19 pages of which are dedicated to useful tourist information. The first edition will be printed in English (20,000 copies), and the Japanese edition will be printed in July (20,000 copies). There are plans to create Korean and Chinese versions.
