From Apr. 18 (Mon.) to May 23 (Mon.), registration for runners for the Fukuoka Marathon is open. Apply via the official website. The entry fee is ¥10,800 for the full marathon, and ¥3,240 for the wheelchair race and fun run. Given the increase in the number of runners this year, the number of volunteers will be increased to 4,000 (800 more than last year). Registration for volunteers opens May 2. This year, an additional slot has been added for foreign residents (more info here). The marathon will take place on Nov. 13 (Sun.).
