Fukuoka Mitsukoshi Celebrates 20th Year

Fukuoka Mitsukoshi will mark their 20th anniversary with a ceremony on September 26. The event will take place in Lion Hiroba, which is currently undergoing renovation and is set to reopen for the celebrations. Inside the department store, approximately 200 products with special engravings and inscriptions to commemorate the milestone will be on sale. As part of festivities, jewelry and Japanese sweets featuring the image of a lion, the symbol of Mitsukoshi, will be in stock from Oct. 4 to Oct. 17. Special Yame tea, honey, and bread will also be for sale. The store is planning special commemorative events until the end of March next year. Source: Tenjin Keizai Shimbun, 8/28/2017
