Fukuoka Subway’s ‘Friday Night Train’ Service Starts Today

For the month of December, the Fukuoka subway will extend the departure time of the last Friday night train by 30 minutes. December is the season of year end parties (bonenkai) and the extension hopes to alleviate congestion on the subway service. Each Friday, there will be two additional services between Meinohama and Fukuoka Airport, three between Fukuoka Airport and Chikuzen Maebaru, one between Meinohama and Hakata and four between Hashimoto and Tenjin minami. The trains will run on Dec. 2, 9, 16, and 22. Source: Tenjin Keizai Shinbun, Nov. 24, 2016
