Government of Thailand Considers Reopening Thai Trade Center Fukuoka

The Government of Thailand has announced it is considering to reopen Thai Trade Center Fukuoka, which it shuttered in March 2016. The Center provides business matching for companies from both countries and helps Japanese manufacturers present their products at trade fairs in Thailand. With this move, Thailand aims to encourage business exchange with Kyushu and induce Kyushu-based small and medium-sized enterprises with advanced technologies to set up operations in Thailand. The Government of Thailand will also reopen the Tourism Authority of Thailand Fukuoka office that it closed in January 2016 in an effort to bolster tourism and exchange between Thailand and Kyushu.
