Highway buses between Fukuoka and Kumamoto are running once again. Service was suspended from the evening of Apr. 14 (Thu.) to the morning of Apr. 21 (Thu.); nearly a full week. However, the buses are travelling along a detoured route, so the travel time has doubled from two and a half hours to five hours. There will also be fewer buses running; around 14 round trips on weekdays (usually 111) until further notice. Many customers have commented that they are happy the highway buses are now running again, since many want to return to Kumamoto to check on their houses and/or loved ones.
