Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk Announces Room Renovations

Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk has refurbished the guest rooms on the 26th to 29th floors of the hotel. The renovation work drew inspiration from a range of themes related to Hakata’s historical role as a gateway to other parts of Asia and beyond. The shape and layout of the rooms were designed to reflect historical exchanges, while the materials used have taken inspiration from the ships associated with the port. The color scheme took cues from the white sand and green pines that line parts of the local coastline.

More than 400 years ago, the first daimyo of Fukuoka, Nagamasa Kuroda, promoted the cultivation of pine trees alongside the coast while fortifying the grounds of Fukuoka Castle. Since then generations of people have had the chance to enjoy the view of these green pine groves set against shining white beaches. Hues of soft gray and turquoise blue were used in the renovation to evoke the image of sandy beaches, as well as pine trees. The idea behind the refurbishment is to create the feeling of a passenger ship heading out to sea from Hakata Port, yet maintain the warmth and elegance associated with the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk. The new interior provides guests with the chance to enjoy the culture and history of the local area. Source: Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk
